Top Priorities
When you start with what's best for the kids, you can't go wrong.
That also means ensuring teachers are treated well, and our community is a great place to be.
Staying Child-Centered
-
All students should have equal access to resources
-
Developmentally appropriate learning environments (limitations on homework, adequate nap time, and plenty of outdoor play and social-emotional learning for the younger students and enough preparatory education and mental health resources for older students)
-
Every parent's number one priority is their child's safety, so I will ensure that this is carried through in any policy passed when I'm on the Board

Advocating for Teachers
1 in 7 teachers left their jobs nationwide last year. Ensuring we have enough happy and great teachers, which means treating them well and giving them as much autonomy as possible - they are the ones in the classrooms with our kids.
We must trust teachers, and ensure they are paid well and given the resources they need to succeed. Their focus should be on educating our children, not on just getting by.

Building Our Community
Making the GREEN community a great place to be ultimately leads to growth and expansion of our schools, and the opportunity to grow the one we have and receive more resources for the things we want to improve. That's why building more community outreach and ensuring we are strong from within, from equity and inclusion to the strength of our teachers and staff, are vital.
